2015. It has been a long year three journey
from our original business strategy to the realization of UPcycling Community.
We thank everyone for your support and patience as we worked to bring our
community to life.

UPcyclity®
was incorporated as a Benefit Corporation in the state of California in
August of 2012 and was certified as a B Corp in February of
2013. UPcyclity is both an ecommerce market
place and social community dedicated to Upcycling.

At UPcycled City, we help solve the problem of waste by teaching
people how UPcycling closes the recycling loop and lessens our use of virgin
and non-replenish able resources. By promoting the practice of UPcycling we
also seek to show how we can minimize the damage done to our environment by
diverting waste from our landfills, oceans and reduce GHG emissions and climate
change.
The definition of Upcycling is the
repurposing of waste materials into new products with a higher value. UPcyclity and UPcycled City help people solve
the problem of waste by teaching how UPcycling closes the recycling loop by
lessening our dependence on virgin and non-replenish able resources.
We further seek to promote Upcycling
as a profitable way to reduce the ecological impact of
non-sustainable manufacturing.
A key metric for UPcycled City is the
pounds of waste materials diverted from our landfills. By promoting UPcycling and
other sustainable practices we seek to further minimize the damage done to our
environment, oceans and the world in which we live.
